Liga Nacional de Fútbol Sala

 The National Football League Hall or LNFS is a sports association composed of clubs participating in professional league football in Spain . It was founded in 1989 and currently serves the First Division , which are present 16 teams, and a lower band known as Second Division with 16 teams.
Its function is to organize the professional leagues in his charge as an autonomous body, the Cup of Spain and the Copa del Rey . Below the first and second category is the second division "B" , which is the responsibility of the National Futsal Royal Spanish Football Federation .
Although since 1989 the competition system has undergone many changes, the LNFS today is considered one of the major football competitions in the world, and one of the few professional championships in the sport there. Since 2009 is chaired by Javier Lozano Cid



Structure of the championship

The system of competition pits teams from each group or division with each other on two occasions: at home, and the other on the road. By now the First Division composed of 16 teams, the League has 30 days in his regular season. Each victory is worth three points from defeat by zero, and the tie is awarded one point for each club. In the regular season no extensions and the match ends when does the regular time.

HISTORY.

Background of the League

Before the creation of professional championship, the various football teams competed tournaments assigned to two federations: the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF), bringing together their futsal clubs in the Spanish Association Futsal Club (AECFS) , and the breakaway Spanish Futsal Federation , whose group of teams was the Football Association Board (Asofusa).
After the mediation of the Higher Sports Council , both parties reached an agreement to create a league championship, which would bring together teams of both parties. The tournament would consist of a Division of Honour, with four groups of 12 teams each, and a First National meet over 100 courses throughout Spain , a figure that would decrease appreciably over the years. The creation of the National Indoor Football League was approved on August 28 of 1989 , and his first day was played on September 30 of that year under, the CSD and RFEF. The first president of the league was Aurelio Gómez Araujo

Early years

Because of the strong momentum that futsal was the decade of 1980 , the championship was supported by the public and the support of Spanish Television , who signed an agreement with the LNFS to broadcast a minimum of 9 championship matches, including final . The league system was similar to other competitions of the time as the ACB , as there were different phases distributed according to the position reached in the league, up to a playoff for the title that the club would win. Consolidation of the championship

In 1994 the RFEF championship passes control to a newly created National Futsal Committee , under the Federation. Over time several teams suffered economic problems, even to abandon the professional competition or disappear due to the withdrawal of the sponsors, the decline in attendance at the pavilions, and lack of support from some media. Further, the League suffered a serious institutional and economic crisis, with different relays in his direction. In 2009 there is a relay inside that body, with the advent to the presidency of the league's former coach Javier Lozano , has managed to correct the situation and attractive championship to the fans.
In 2011 , the names of the championships were changed to First Division and Second Division. Due to the restructuring, the Second Division has been reduced to 19 teams in 2010 and 16 in 2011.
